Half the school year is over meaning NHS (National Honor Society) was selected. Every year the seniors are excited to find out who is selected. It is big honor for all that make it, they will graduate a part of National Honor Society and it will help them to make it to certain colleges they are interested in.

Mrs. Reyes, who is in charge of NHS, was asked how does National Honor Society selects their students, in which she responded, “They have to have a 3.5 to get the application.  When they turn it in, a faculity meeting is held for votes on the students, I myself, Mrs. Wiery, and Mr.Vega don’t have votes.”

National Honor Society participated in the Buddy Walk, usually participates in the Relay for Life, and donate socks every year. Students are selected based on their high grade point average, clubs, sports, and community service hours.

Senior Ashley Cameron was asked how she felt about being previously selected, she replied, “Yes, National Honor Society is a huge honor and I was also elected treasurer, I was super excited to be involved.”
