Spring Fling

James Davis

The Jackson-Milton annual Spring Fling took place on April 29th, the last day of school before we started spring break. The Spring Fling is an annual volleyball tournament at the Jackson-Milton high school in which student compete in order to win for their grade. The games go as follows: eighth grade versus freshman, sophomores versus juniors, and seniors versus the teachers of Jackson-Milton. For two dollars students could watch or compete in this year’s Spring Fling, and they also had the option to purchase tee-shirts in support of their grade.

After several long games, 3 grades had won. Between the eighth graders and freshman, the eighth graders won. Between the sophomores and juniors, the juniors won, and between the seniors and teachers, the seniors finally won.

But the goal of the spring Fling isn’t competing to see who is better, its to have fun on our last day before spring break, so how did the students of Jackson-Milton enjoy the Spring Fling?

Elizabeth Pifer, a senior who attended the event said, “It was very interesting and fun to watch” and while it is her last year here, she said she would enjoy seeing next years.
