Terranova breaks all-time leading scorer record at JM

Senior Michaelina Terranova broke the all time leading scorer in Jackson-Milton High School for girls basketball. She achieved such a great milestone in the second quarter of the game on senior night against Crestview on February 12, 2018. Entering the game, she only needed one point and she was tied with the previous record of 1,299 points which was held by the class of 1985 graduate Tonya “Treharne” Kline The record was 33 years old and she now holds the overall lead in the scoring records for Jackson-Milton. After she scored the point needed the whole gym cheered for her and she was given a commemorative ball for her great achievement. In regards of Michaelina’s achievement she said, “I was pretty nervous entering the game just because I knew I only needed one more point. It was an exciting moment and I am glad I got to cherish it with my team.” Michaelina finished the night with six points. The Blue Jays took over the game in the fourth quarter to earn a win for a special night for Michaelina and her two senior teammates, Emily Williams and Haley Lengyel.
