Quiz Bowl is a game between two teams in which they compete to answer questions from all genres. Some possible genres include knowledge in history, literature, fine arts, sciences, current events, sports, pop culture, politics, as well as many more. The Jackson-Milton Quiz Bowl team has had some recent success this season.

Mr. Greg Domino is the advisor for the club and students that are part of the JM varsity team include junior Austin Caroline and seniors Jacob Cline, Nick Kawecki, and Addie DeVite.

The Jackson-Milton Quiz Bowl team has matches on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays. The team has competed in many competitions so far this season. The last competition was a home match held at Jackson-Milton and the team competed against the Brookfield team. Although they are proud of their performance, there is always room for improvement and they are striving to get better. The home match was their last competition of the regular season.

YSU is holding a Quiz Bowl tournement on Saturday, February 17. They are competing against many different high school teams. Senior, Jacob Cline commented on the team’s season when he said, “I am proud of our accomplishments this season. We moved up a division which include bigger schools. We won about half of our competitions, which was an accomplishment for us.”

With 3 seniors graduating after this season, the team is looking to groom their underclassmen to be able to compete at the Varsity level next year. Team members agree that it is important to train the JV team to be successful. “Team unity is important,” says Jacob Cline.
