Nick Scarl received an invitation to this banquet for earning First Team All League Honors for the second year in a row. Austin Mercer received an invitation to this banquet for earning First Team All-Northeast Inland district. Receiving these awards was a huge accomplishment for both senior graduates.
At the showcase there were many scholarships represented to the athletes. Nick Scarl says, “It was honor to receive an invitation to a showcase like this because it really helps get your name out there.”
Both Mercer and Scarl were awarded a plaque and a certificate. There were 14 finalists for the scholarship that was represented but a student from Western Reserve ended up winning the scholarship. This was a huge accomplishment for both Mercer and Scarl.
