Movie Review: Happy Death Day

“Happy Death Day” recently came into theaters on Friday October 13, 2017 and is rated PG13. “Happy Death Day” is a mystery/thriller movie that is directed by Christopher B. Landon and is produced by Jason Blum. Tree Gelbman who is played Jessica Rothe is your average collegian who is friends with Carter, who is played by Israel Broussard.

Tree goes through her day as she normally would. As night time rolls around and her party is in full swing. She goes into her room and as she is staring into the mirror her life is taken by a masked killer. But magically she awakens unharmed in Carter’s dorm room once again. She goes through her day frightened and as her party rolls around her life is taken once again. Tree relives her birthday over and over again multiple times. She tries to explain to people about what is going on but nobody believes her.

Now frustrated, Tree seeks help from Carter. Carter and Tree work together to try and solve the mystery of who wants to harm her. She must continue to relive her birthday until she can find out who her enemy is…
