Cheerleaders begin the season with positive attitudes

It looks like it’s going to be another exciting year for the Jackson-Milton cheerleaders, with competition season drawing near there is a lot of pressure on the girls to perform. The first place title they claimed last year is inspiring their work ethic this year.

They also placed first at another yearly competition which is held at Kennywood, a well known amusement park.

Many girls participate in cheerleading, coached by Megan White and Grazia Accordino.

Freshman Karli Dillinger said, “I love showing up on Friday evenings and cheering under the lights.”

The girls learn routines, cheers, dances, and more to entertain the crowds and compete on the mats.  They fundraise for their activities and raise money for breast cancer as well.
