Volleyball season comes to a close
October 13, 2017
On October 9th the Lady Blue Jays took an unpleasant loss over the Western Reserve Lady Blue Devils. The Lady Jays Varsity volleyball team fought long and hard over a three game loss. JV also fought a losing battle over the Blue Devils playing a two game match.
Many people showed up to support the Lady Jays in the rivalry game and also trophy game against Western Reserve.
Emily Williams said, “The team really stepped up this game.”
This game was very tough but the Lady-Jays fought through it all. Losing four seniors after this year the Lady Jays will put in extra work to overcome the Lady Devils and win the Danielle Grimm Memorial Trophy back next year.
The team has come together and lifted everyone up throughout the season and has the determination to beat their next upcoming opponent, East Palestine, on senior night. They have fought long and hard throughout the season but the seniors are never ready for it to come to an end.
The Lady Jays will play against East Palestine on their home court. As the season comes to an end the Lady Jays seniors will play their hearts out all the way to the end owing to the fact that it might be the last time stepping foot on the volleyball court in front of big crowd with not only their team, but their family.
