At Jackson-Milton High School this year Deputy Soznosky has been approved to have two different speakers come in to our school and speak to our high school students.

One speaker will be speaking about why drugs are such a horrific thing to use and get addicted too. He will cover real stories of people that he has helped and will tell the students studies about how drugs have affected people’s lives in a bad way. Carl Hyder will

The other speaker will be coming in the month of May and he is a motivational speaker. The speakers were originally for students that are in clubs in the school such as S.A.D.D. and the Key Club.

Student Maggie Garland (Senior) brought the idea to Deputy Sosnosky and Deputy Sosnosky brought the idea to the Principal, Mr. Vega to get approved.  Mr. Vega approved and the plan is in action.

The motivational speaker that is coming in May will speak about life and will try to motivate students to reach their biggest dreams for their futures.

Maggie says that this came to her because she felt as if the clubs needed a change.

S.A.D.D. leaders Mrs. Reyes and Mrs. Morelli,and Key Club leader Mrs. Amendalora, agreed that this was a great idea and decided that they would assist with the fund raising efforts to make the plan a reality.
