The January Board of Education meeting covered the following aspects:

• Nomination for the office of President of the Board of Education was held, Mrs. Catania was elected as president.
• Nomination for Vice President of the Board of Education was held, Mrs. Pittman was elected as vice president.
• Mr. Weidenthal was approved as tournament/computer director and Mr. Kyle Gabrick as assistant tournament director for the wrestling tournament on Saturday, January 7th.
• $500 was given to the Athletic Fund 300 900A for cross country expenses.
• The board approved the increase from $150 to $200 (maximum) for checks issued by the Athletic Imprest Account to pay for game officials and security services, effective with the 2016 – 2017 school year.
• The board approved December 15th, 2016, as a calamity day district – wide due to extreme cold weather.
