MCCTC

Jackson-Milton’s Guidance Counselor,  Mrs. Wiery, scheduled a field trip to the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center for students. The field trip was for the graduating class of 2019, the sophomores. They went there to see the options of the career paths that the school had to offer to see if any kids were interested in going to the center.

The whole sophomore class, Mrs.Wiery, Mr.Brode and Mrs.Basile all attended the MCCTC on January, 27th. This field trip is important because it broadens the horizon for our students at Jackson-Milton to get a jump start on the career they want to pursue. The reason that the sophomore class goes is because the MCCTC is for Juniors and Seniors and early exposure to the environment may entice them to go.
The Mahoning County Career and Technical Center offers many different programs that they put into different categories. For instance Culinary is under special interest and Medical Assistant is under certification programs. They have programs ranging from almost anything one can think of.

People who already have job can attend the center for career enhancement classes. The programs that are under career enhancement teach you skills that you are gonna need in your job and in the future for other jobs such as, safety, health and fitness, and trade and industry.
