January 23, 2017
Relay for Life is a cancer fundraising event used throughout America. There are many ways that anyone or any group can raise money for this event. The Jackson-Milton Relay for Life team is run by our Jackson-Milton National Honors Society. Currently our team J-M NHS has raised $1,140.00 toward the Relay.
Team J-M NHS include: Katie Rago, Ashley Totani, Kaitlyn Totani, Maggie Garland, Tiffany Voland (Co-Captain), Mrs. Reyes (Co-Captain), Eric Ostrowski, Jesusita Linger, Sierra Pierce, Sierra Huff, Aleesa Whitney, and Journey Morris. They all work very hard towards their goal.
Mrs. Reyes said, “I am really excited that the students each year want to continue and help raise money for cancer research.”
Eric Ostrowski said, “I feels good to participate in it and to raise money for a good cause.”
Ashley Totani said, “It’s a good way to give back to our community. Many people are affected by cancer so to be able to be a part of something that does great things and makes a difference is special.”
