The Jackson-Milton Volleyball team started their journey in the summer with going to Toledo for three days. The girls worked hard this year which resulted in a 14-9 record. With the Lady Jays going 7-1 in league play, it them on top to share the league champ title.

Having seven seniors this year, including Julissa Tomaino, Sierra Huff, Ashley Totani, Kaitlyn Totani, Amy Ritchie, Jenna Seka, and Katie Rago, the team was determined to bring a lot of success to the program.

The team advanced to sectional finals but sadly lost to Wellsville in 4 games. Even though the Lady Jays will lose seven seniors, the volleyball team is expected to have great success for years to come.

The Junior Varsity team finished their season with only one loss.

Ashley Totani said, “This season has been the best out of all four years. The memories that I’ve gained from this season will stick with me for the rest of my life. I’ll miss volleyball so much.”

Julissa Tomaino said, “Even though the season did not go as planned, I did enjoy every moment with my team and I am definitely going to miss playing with them.”

Kaitlyn Totani said,“This year was the best year. As a team we were so close and not one practice went by without everyone dying of laughter and joking around. I’m so happy that I’ve ended our senior year with a league title.”

Congratulations Lady Jays!
