Movie Review: Suicide Squad

Anthony Eppendorfer, Staff Writer

Although some people liked the very hyped movie, Suicide Squad, did it meet everyone’s expectations?  Most said that they tried too hard to make the movie like Deadpool and The Guardians Of The Galaxy which made many people dislike it.

Although Suicide Squad disappointed many people, it still made over 43 million dollars in the first 2 weeks. That’s way more money in a two week span than any of the other competitors in the theaters. Although Deadpool made an insane amount, Warner Bros. are still happy with the outcome of Suicide Squad.

It only has a 26% on Rotten Tomatoes, but with such a low rating many people argue that it should be higher. Overall, the action-packed super villain movie still made a killing in theaters.

A U.S. Intelligence officer started all of it.  Figuring that every character was expendable, he decided to assemble a dangerous team of supervillains. They have to work together to carry out a top secret mission that they are armed with military grade weapons to get it done with. Not only do they have to fight a powerful and mysterious entity. The Joker is also carrying out a diabolical plan of his own.

Student Shane Davis felt that, “ Despite the percent that rotten tomatoes gave Suicide Squad, I really enjoyed the movie mainly because they focused on pleasing the DC comic fans rather than the critics.”
